The Quest
I hold my torch and roam through the night
I don’t know what’s in my endless plight
Through dungeon and forest I may roam
In search of a place to call home
Away from life, away from death
Away from the life I had left
For all my days I am in sorrow
I wish my quest would end tomorrow
To a town I had arrived
A warm bed I had strived
But suddenly to my surprise
A band of orcs came before my eyes
Accosting me, they yelled, "Surrender!"
So I wielded my sword, yelled back, "Never!"
And as I gave my battle cry
I swung my sword and they did die
The townspeople thanked me for what I’ve done
But I had known better, I had not won
