Arklight aka Li Mei Chan

She was the last born of her nine siblings and the only born in the United States. She was looked upon as a sort of disappointment when her mutant powers and glowing eyes kept her from being able to participate in the family business and was homeschooled because of the shame they felt.

Arklight was a heroine back in the 1980's, when personal computers were expensive toys just becoming mainstream. All things changed for Arklight, when in 1984, she encountered a villain with time powers. When Arklight's electrical powers struck the villain's time blast, both were propelled away from their time.

Arklight found herself in the Old West in the United States, but Arklight, who was dependent on a power grid to draw electrical power from, was in trouble. With the help of a Texas Ranger, she tried to create a makeshift generator, but when a vicious gang of gunslingers whom had enslaved a group of townsfolk to mine gold found at a local iron mine, they stopped to save the people, but at the cost of Arklight's life... sort of.

Arklight's body entered a sort of standby mode, feeding off of Earth's magnetic field itself. She laid unconscious but alive until she was revived by paramedics sent by the descendants of that Texas Ranger, who's final request was that Arklight's place of her heroics be preserved until she was located in 2017.

The character was originally conceived in a dream I had and managed to record what I could before the dream faded from my memory.
